Doug Segree was voted Best Solo Artist in Annapolis by What's Up magazine! Check out the June issue for details. They will be having a celebration on June 16th to celebrate this years winners. Congrats to our friends the Jarfly's  for best band and Rob Levit for best  Jazz band in Naptown..

This weekend is the Herndon Festival in Virginia. This is a great festival that has been going on for years. Doug Segree will be performing on the Cafe stage at 3pm w/ guitarist extraordinaire Dan Leonard. Check out the Herndon Festival at http://www.town.herndon.va.us/festival/  

Also this weekend -Saxophonist Scott Paddock (www.scottpaddock.com) will be performing Saturday, June 4th at Merriwether Post Pavilion at the Capitol Jazz Festival. He is one of six finalists competing for a chance to play the main stage on June 5th and win $5,000.00. Percussionist Victor Williams (www.victorwilliams.com) will be joining his band 

Thank you  to all those who made it to the Maryland Hall show last week. It was truly amazing.  We would like to thank August West and all those who helped make the show a success. The show was recorded and videotaped for possible future release.  We will keep you posted

Wow! Memorial Day weekend at the beach was incredible! To all those who made it to The Starboard in Dewey - thank you! Man, what a great place- the band rocked the deck all weekend.  It was so good a fire started under the deck. Really.  No, really. 

Thank you Walter Reed Army Hospital and their staff for having me perform for troops back from Iraq and Afghanistan in the amputee department. Our troops are the greatest in the world. Thank you for your sacrifices for this great country and for giving me the opportunity to give something back.

Greetings!  Summer is just around the corner and the beach party is here- yes we'll be back at the Starboard deck for the 7th season in a row every Sunday.  If you've never been to the Starboard -it is something beyond words - check it out yourself....

2/03/05 SPECIAL UPDATE!
The Doug Segree Band will be performing live on Channel 2 news Friday (tomorrow) morning at 6am. They are doing a story on the Ramshead and we will be performing a couple songs off the new record, so be sure tune in!

Wow!  The Ramshead Live! show was amazing! Thanks to everyone who made it out to the show - the place was packed and the band rocked.  Special thanks to our friends Naked Blue and Michael K for opening the show.  

WTMD will be hosting a special solo showcase featuring yours truly this Thursday Feb. 3 at the Evergreen in Baltimore, MD.  The show starts at 7pm and is FREE!  Ill be playing two one-half hour sets.

The Doug Segree Band will be playing Ski Liberty for the Verizon Luge Challenge this weekend, Saturday Feb. 5.  We start at 3:30pm at the base of the mountain, so get your groove on and come say hello!

Hey there, got two radio appearances this week in support and promotion for the upcoming Ramshead Live! show this Friday in Baltimore. On Tuesday (time TBA), I will be doing an interview with Dee at 89.7 WTMD.  I'll be performing a couple songs off the record and may have a special guest or two. Also, Thursday evening at 9, I will be on-air with Damien at 103.1 WRNR talking about the upcoming show.  My good friend Michael K will be joining me for that one.  I will be playing some songs off the record and also may showcase some new material.

The Annapolis X-Mas show at the Ramshead Onstage has been announced for Monday December 20th and tix are now on sale at www.ramsheadonstage.com.  This is a great show with all your favorite Annapolis musicians playing Christmas songs.

Just Announced! -
Doug will NOT be performing the National Anthem at this Sunday's Redskin game (1pm). The date will be rescheduled. Details to come...  

.The band will also be playing at halftime and postgame on the club level.

Sold Out!

The Ramshead Onstage show was amazing! Thank you to all those you made it out to the show. Yes it was sold out show- thanks to you!! We got an opportunity to try some brand new material as well as play tunes off all three recordings.  If you missed the show, don't fret well be doing more in the future....

Greetings!  Been working on more full band gigs for the fall.  The MD Seafood Festival is this weekend - All weekend event at Sandy Point State Park. We will be playing at 4pm on Saturday.  The Redskins home opener is Sunday so we will be playing at halftime and after the game on the club level.  

Just announced!  Please join us on Sunday Sept. 19th at the Funk Box in Baltimore to celebrate Music Monthly's 20th anniversary.  I'll be playing with the full band in the evening.  Check schedule for details....  You can also check the Full Band playing at the Blocktober Fest. on Sat. Sept. 25th in Arlington..

So here we are, with the summer almost over, everyone's heading back to school, back to work or back from vacation- don't fret.  Lots going this fall!  The new CD is flying off the shelves, as they say and there are some great shows coming up.  The Gavin DeGraw show at the Rechre Theatre is still on (as opener), just without Gavin. He'll be playing at the Olympics instead (they asked me, but couldn't meet my rider requirements!) Marc Broussard will be headlining the show instead.  We start at 9pm, so be sure to come early. Oh yeah, tix are only $7, so bring a few friends.  

Just inked a deal with Independents for Kerry CD/DVD. 10 independent bands from USA, UK and Canada. It will be released nationwide sometime this fall - check the website <http://www.independents4kerry.com> for info. And remember to vote in November!

Welcome to the Official Doug Segree Web Site! 
We are still fiddlin' with it so expect more changes to come!  The summer has been amazing - The new CD is creating quite a stir -I have some great news to announce in the future about  it. (need to get the facts right first!)  Also the Redskins season is right around the corner, we'll be performing at all the games, including the two home preseason games, which Ill do solo.  Just announced a special gig with Gavin DeGraw at the Recher Theatre on August 27.
